It may be unnecessarily rude, but it's a fact.

And her body is also his business. Just like her personality is his business.

Do you think a person should be okay with their spouse changing their personality to a level that is untenable for the other spouse?

If a man marries a woman that is kind, caring, compassionate, and loves 'x', then years down the road, she becomes unkind, uncaring, uncompassionate, and hates 'x', then do you think that's his business?

You don't think a man has a right to have a discussion with his spouse about extreme changes to her personality?

Of course he does.

It's no different with her body either. If she lets herself go, becomes grossly unhealthy, to the point he's no longer attracted to her, then how in the world is that not his business?

He has every right to have a discussion with her about that. He doesn't have to be a dick about it, sure, but from what I read in the article, that wasn't the case.

But he has a right to have a feeling about how she looks, just as he'd have a right to have a feeling about how she acts.

And I just celebrated my 22nd anniversary 4 days ago, so I think I know a little bit about what is a spouse's business or not. At least in my own relationship.

That stuff 100% matters and it is absolutely his business.
