It’s funny because 64% of white women voted for Trump and only 35% of white women voted for Clinton.
So, what, those are misogynistic women? All those white ladies?
Oh wait, that’s right, nope — it was their husband’s fault. That’s what the ladies keep saying: “my husband made me do it!”
Put up a candidate that everyone can get behind, and she’ll be elected.
HRC was not that candidate, nor is Elizabeth Warren. Cortez is the female that needs to run. That’s who progressives will want to vote for.
I also think it’s sad that you conflate years-of-service with being ‘qualified’ to be President. In fact, I’d argue that any man or woman who has been in Congress for more than 5 years is less qualified because they clearly weren’t able to do anything to fix the mess we are in.
Elizabeth Warren, HRC (though not an elected official for all that long, has still been politicking for decades), etc. all have a direct hand in the situation we’re in now.
Besides that — you shouldn’t try and shame anyone for why they will or won’t vote for someone; our vote is our vote and if one of the voters doesn’t think any woman is capable of handling the job, then they are free to believe in such a ridiculous way.
You vote the way you WANT to, right? Not out of guilt or fear of shame? Of course not — quit trying to do that to others.
