Lol. Yeah, I may just do that, honestly (read the book). The book you wrote about is something I've ALWAYS hated working for other people, which is one of the reasons why I don't.
Haven't worked for someone else in over 10 years and I couldn't be happier, tbh.
I believe the problem comes when they are handed a budget, and the head of that department wants to KEEP the budget he has, so he makes sure he (or she) spends all the money allocated, so they'll create nonsense jobs to fill in any gaps in the budget.
"But we need the guy to fill the bowl. Do you realize how much productivity we gain when none of us are walking to/from the place to fill the bowl?" LOL
