No, you didn't "[give] several suggestions for how [that] pair of athletic men can take specific steps to be helpful," you gave snarky responses to everything they talked about, or at least what was written in the article.

You weren't responding to be helpful at all. You were responding due to being triggered by them discussing something personal to you.

"But you didn't really read my comment" - that is false. I did read your comment.

"that would be why you got the impression that I'm fat. Because I said it." Um, no you didn't. The only thing remotely close to you saying that was (myself included) which could have been taken multiple ways.

Not to mention the fact that I came to the conclusion you were fat from the very first 2 paragraphs, because you wanted to shame THEM because they are concerned about one of their spouses being unhealthily overweight.

The ONLY thing you added to the conversation was to dismiss the fact that being overweight is not healthy in nearly every case. There are overweight people who are quite healthy, but those are exceptions, not the rule.

We should not "assume" most fat people are healthy, especially when the one we're discussing happens to not be able to walk 15 minutes without becoming winded, which is actually a sign of potential heart failure.

And what did you say about that? Yeah ... find a cardiologist that doesn't think it's because of fat.

You are so out of touch with reality because you REFUSE to acknowledge the elephant in the room in your own life and want to push everyone else to stop pointing at the elephant in the room and say "hey, that's an elephant."

You're a ridiculous person spouting ridiculous things. What you're doing is akin to shaming people who tell smokers to quit smoking and shaming doctors that tell a smoker, every time the smoker enters the room, that they NEED to quit smoking.

Would you argue that people shouldn't blame health issues on smoking?

Probably not. So stop trying to get people to blame health problems on anything but the elephant in the room.
