Thank you for saying this. I too grew up in a man-hating home. Ironic given that my Mom had 3 boys, married and stayed with two of the worst pieces of crap on the planet, then vowed to never be with men again.

My formative years were about how disastrous men and masculinity was.

All three of her boys turned out quite masculine but now care for our mother almost daily because she's disabled, bitter, frail, and still blames men for all the wrong in her life.

But the truth is that she could have left those men -- but she didn't. They left her.

I love my Mom but I never could understand why she hated all of us at the same time.
